IFCC hosting ‘Regency-Era and English Country Dance’ workshops
The International Folk Culture Center (IFCC) is hosting a weekend of “Regency-Era and English Country Dance” workshops featuring John Gardiner-Garden and Aylwen Gardiner-Garden on July 24-26. Participants will learn and explore dances from the “Pride and Prejudice” era of the 1800s.
Admission for the entire weekend is $65, but other options are available for those who do not wish to attend the whole weekend. For more information, contact Lissa Bengtson at 210-867-0692, or visit https://ollufolkculturecenter.com/special-events/.
They call him “Mr. Showcase” because of his tremendous success in the competition line dance world, but his delightful personality and outstanding dance style are what make him an extremely popular line dance instructor.
John will present a workshop at the IFCC on Tuesday evening, February 23 from 7 to 9 pm, and another on Wednesday February 24 from 1-5 pm. Cost of the workshops together is $20, but if you can only attend one, the Tuesday price is $10 and the Wednesday price is $15.
A written description doesn’t do justice to John’s energy and charisma. He will visit the IFCC in-between a regional workshop in Dallas and an national workshop in Myrtle Beach.
Tickets for San Antonio’s workshop can be found at:
